I’m Sarah — an animal-loving workaholic who loves to eat. Just a few short years ago, I made a life-changing decision to cut the junk out of my diet.
Just like many people today, the food I used to love eating was actually killing me. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010, I knew it was time to make some serious changes.
I was terrified about making such a mental shift towards healthy eating because my body craved all the things that were hurting me — sugar, gluten, dairy — you name it. But I quickly realized the power of adapting my favorite foods with more wholesome ingredients, and pretty soon the transition started to feel effortless.
Looking back through my diary over these years, I realized many of my friends and family were struggling with similar issues. I never thought I was much of a writer, but when I started sharing my notes with people, I got some really great feedback. My friends started begging me to share more, so I started writing my first book.
As they say, the rest is history.

My opinion about that book… I definately going to keep that book for the future references. Now I just need to run to a store and buy a slow cooker. The recipes are delish. I am not worried anymore what I am going to have for my meal, because the book is filled with practical hearty meals.
