The silent stones of time, you stood all these years,

Collecting sun rays through each grain.

You heard the stories and the myths for centuries that came and went by.

By weather you were tested, leaning in the winds and storms on the plain.

Nothing could beat you, nothing could pull you down.

You hold your heads tall and strong, even when it was pouring rain.

Singing wild to the birds and the flowers the song of life and beauty,

The way only they could hear and tell through all the prairie’s reign.
