What”s the book about?

No one needs to push Nikki Boyd to excel on the Tennessee Missing Persons Task Force. The case of her own missing sister, still unsolved after ten years, is the driving force in her work. When a Polaroid photo of a missing girl shows up at a crime scene, Nikki quickly recognizes similarities to the past. The closer she gets to the abductor, the more she feels this case has become personal, and she is not the hunter . . . but the hunted.

With this explosive first book in The Nikki Boyd Files, award-winning author Lisa Harris takes you on a fast-paced pursuit of justice that will have you holding your breath until the heart-stopping finish.

My opinion: 5 stars out of 5.

This morning should be perfect, Nikki planned all to well to honor her best friend’s anniversary, celebration the life and vigor. After Katie passed away, she was the one trying to encourage Tyler, Katie’s husband, to not sink in depression, while she struggled with guilt and hard memories on her own for past ten years. She knew what it was like to lose  the one she loved, yet years passed and the pain didn’t go away. To ease her guilt, she joined the Forces to rescue other girls from being missing and abducted…

Yet this day sounded promising: the weather was right, sunny and warm, and the good hike with Tyler was all she needed. She loved outdoors. It eased her mind from the trouble, and all the cases she was working on.

It all changed when she jumped from cliff, she knew something was terribly wrong… When she bounced on the wall, and her rope started to slip, she knew if would over in few moments… Her life… She clang to the mountain slope, while holding on to the crevices her hands and feet can find.

More surprises on the way. She might finally have a closure over her sister’s case. And yet everything goes the way she didn’t plan.
