My thoughts: 3.5 stars out of 5
I don’t know what made me dislike the story, because Lisa Bergren is one of my favorite authors, especially after the River of Time Series. The writing and each word is perfect, with very fascinating description and well-developed characters. Probably I couldn’t relate the story-line to myself, and it’s not the time travel story (my favorite genre, no wonder I love the River of Time Series). This is the fantasy set in the future…. Or maybe it’s because I started with the last book in this series, instead of the first one, without deeply attaching myself to the heroes and heroines of the book. Oh well, this one I get my hands on first.
