At twenty-five, Naomi has never been married, and both her mother, Barbara, and her grandmother, Ruth, have recently been widowed. Each nursing broken or lonely hearts, they also each have potential suitors. When a storm on Christmas Eve forces the three couples to take shelter in the basement of the Stotlzfus homestead, secrets are revealed, hearts are opened, and all three potential grooms drop to their knees for very different reasons—a proposal, a prayer, and an epiphany.

My thoughts: 4 stars out of 5
An Amish Christmas Love is a collection of four novellas, and because of that the events and plot were fast-passed and too fast for my taste. The feelings that were developing with the main characters were not to my taste, to my phase and to my experience… so they were so-so… Written well, but connecting to the characters wasn’t to fullest. I appreciate the reality of connecting to the characters on the personal levels, but it lacked in this book because of the quantity of the characters, where there is many characters to read, scan and analyze, I am not in favor to many characters… Four stories lacked my interest.
But one of the stories captured my attention to the end, and that is Home for Christmas by Ruth Reid. A warm story with interesting twists. I love the mystery of lost gal in the property that came from the diseased aunty, and in the area she is not used to: the Amish community. When she came to the house, she actually was misled by GPA to the neighbor’s house. She broke into the house, because her keys didn’t work on the lock…. A funny story… I loved it.
